Oliver had a promotion that was "No matter what color your tractor is, we have a plow for you". This was the promotion that originally introduced the Purple Oliver 1850! All the proceeds from this sale will be donated to St. Jude's. No buyer's premium on these for online buyers; also online buyers, we will not ship these; but delivery is probably available through the collector's society

just 4.5" long, original paint, no steering column or wheel, missing one front spoke on a wheel; looks to be all original, but the back two wheels are different colors of yellow; but it does not look like they were ever taken off, you can still read "John Deere" on the left side of the hood and on the grill; paint overall is about 50% condition; a truly rare JD toy believed to be the first ever toy produced to bear the John Deere name! This is only the 4th one we have sold in the past 20+ years; the first two had been repaired, the 3rd had been repainted; very few originals of this model are known to exist
