another first for our auctions; model number is worn on top of receiver but most likely an 1864 or 65 model; this is a breach loading cartridge firearm, one of the first of it's kind in the 1800's; uses a coned shape casing w/conical bullets, measurement of muzzle shows approx. a 55cal. size; 21" barrel; has some bad pitting on left side of receiver; saddle ring; wood is overall very nice for it's age; cocking mech works; flip up rear sight; SN#'s match; SN#7364; no FFL transfer needed;
