Rolling Block Target Pistol in .22 R.F.; Completely custom made w/blued & engraved receiver; blued & engraved quarter oct. 11" BBL; unfinished engraved trigger guard; and signed A.L. Lowe; No model markings or serial number; Likely built as a custom post-production model 1901; Fitted in a hand-made velvet lined case marked "One in a Million." A.L. Lowe was a designer and inventor for Remington working in the first half of the 20th Century and is credited with work on the Mdl.37, 1400 and running the Custom Shop in Ilion, NY. The gun shows some minor muzzle wear, and very light contact marks to frame and grips; overall would rate 96% or better with a bright clean bore and excellent function; comes with a box of vintage .22 LR R.F. ammo; amazing piece of history and would be a center piece to any firearms collection!

mfg. for 2 years only in 1936 & 1937; 22" round BBL; English stock; SN#338322 - Auctioneers Note: I've had several inquiries on this firearm. Craig said he bought it this way, he is not sure who or what company bored it out....he said it is definately a Routledge bore; it is not stamped smooth bore or Routledge anywhere on the barrel. The date code on the barrel does not match when these would have exactly been produced. Another very prominent Remington Authority stated that it very well could have been an experimental firearm done by Routlege before they started producing and this could be one of those.
